Creating views lets you save your preferred combination of swimlanes (labs, tests, etc.) in the Patient Profile. You can save any number of views, switch between them and come back to them later!

Example use-cases include:

  • Easily cycling through multiple patients while analysing the same swimlanes

  • Sharing views between users to facilitate collaboration

Creating a View

By default, when you access a patient profile, you will land on the Default View, which only displays the Visit and Exposure swimlanes. As you might be interested in seeing other swimlanes and re-using them, you can create a view. To do that click on the Save As... button. You will then be prompted to enter a name for the new view.

Below is an example of how to save a view once you have picked your swimlanes.

If you are in one of your previously saved view (e.g. Cardiotoxicity), the button will let you choose between saving this in the current view or saving this as a new view.

If you choose the first option, all the modifications that you have made are added to your current view (e.g. Cardiotoxicity). In the second case, a copy of your current view with all your changes is created and the original view (e.g. Cardiotoxicity) is left untouched. You will also be asked to enter a new name for the view if you pick the second option.

Selecting a View

To select a view, click on the button located in the top left corner of the page. A list of all your previously saved views will appear, with the current view pinned at the top for easy access. From this menu, you can also rename, delete, or share a view, making it easy to manage your views.

The following shows how you can use the Cardiotoxicity view we created before to analyse the same swimlanes across multiple patients.

Sharing a View

To share a view, simply click on the Copy URL button and share the link with your colleagues. When they open the link, they will be able to see the view that you created, along with any changes you've made to the view that haven't been saved yet.

As introduced in the previous section, you can share a view directly from the view selection menu. When using this button to share a view, any unsaved changes you've made will not be included, only the saved view itself will be shared.
